
What's New in VFind Security Toolkit Version 165
New with Toolkit Version 165 (This information applies to VSTK and VSTKP)
Here is a brief summary of the changes for each component in this release of the toolkit. If the component is not listed here, then there were no changes made in this release.
VFind - Version 13.10.0
- Added CVDL regex operator (regular expression). See CVDL documentation for details..
- Added --vdl-list= option to specify alternate vdl.list file. See VFind documentation.
- Added Lvfind and lvfind files which are used by the VFind locking process when updating virus definitions.
- Added --noload and --noloads options to specify VDLs to not load.
- Added display of reading the file for --notells and --noloads options.
- Removed constraint of newline within first 1000 bytes for html text file types in uad.
- Fixed bug related to corrupted java class files.
- Added -i option, used when running VFind as a deamon process.
UAD - Version 3.11.2
- Added detection of MicroSoft CAB archive.
- Fixed gz_expand bug related to expanding a malformed zip file.
- Added --tlist option to list recognized file types.
- Added options:
- enable <expander>, Enable/disable <expander>.
- disable <expander> Use --disable '*' to disable all expanders.
- elist Displays list of enabled expanders.
- Added recognition of PDF file types and versions.
- Fixed limitation in detecting long lines of HTML text.
- Added RAR file type recognition.
- Fixed bug in the html expander.
- Fixed bug in the text expander to make uad more tolerant of malformed uuencode, binhex, and MIME components.
- Fixed uudecode debug.
JDis - Version 2.1.5
- Fixed bug related to corrupted java class files.
